Assistant Manager

At this time, we are going through a lot of changes, and we are hiring an assistant manager for Spring 2018 who will transition to the Manager for Fall 2018 and Spring 2018.  This position can be used as an internship for credit if desired. Starting at $12/hour. See below for application details.

  • Conflict resolution. Working with affected parties to acknowledge the conflict, the factors in the issue, identify action steps to resolve the issues, and come to a mutual agreement about the issue at hand
  • Manage GAP Fund
  • Advertise open positions and to recruit potential staff members
  • Communicate with interested parties and schedule interviews
  • Organize interview structure and plan
  • Evaluating applicants and making hiring decisions based on availability, relevant experience, interest, and interview (in that order).
  • Communicating with ALL applicants about their application or hiring status
  • Coordinating, planning and facilitating semesterly and as-needed staff training
  • Evaluating Staff Training procedures and modifying approaches based on staff feedback and observation
  • Communicate with Faculty Adviser and new staff to ensure that the Rad Dish and it’s staff comply with all applicable local laws and university policies


  • Must be a Graduate or Undergraduate student at Temple University
  • Ability to work 12-15 hours per week
  • Commitment to a minimum of 3 semesters
  • ServSafe Certification (can be obtained after hiring)
  • Ability to attend training each semester
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to bend, squat, reach on an occasional basis.

Worker Members

We are hiring chef and cashier positions for Spring 2018 shifts. Our shift times are below. The full job description can be found here. Cafe workers start at $8/hour for their 4 hour shifts.   



Monday, Wednesday, Friday 8:30am-12:30pm

Tuesday, Thursday 8:30am-12:30pm

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 11am-2pm

Monday, Wednesday, Friday 12pm-4:30pm

Tuesday, Thursday 12pm-4:30pm



Cafe Worker Members are “the face of the co-op” and, as such, are responsible for making customer experiences as pleasant as possible to ensure repeat business. Cafe Worker Members are expected to do this through friendly and quick service, preparing menu items efficiently and consistently, and maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the cafe space. Cafe Worker Members are tasked to do this in accordance with the Co-op’s Mission Statement. Additionally, our Worker Members are expected to prep food, take orders, process transactions, and perform other general operations for the cafe. If you are interested in the position, see below.


  • Enrolled in Temple University
  • ServSafe Certification (can be obtained after hiring)
  • Flexible schedule that can accommodate at least two 4-hour shifts
  • Ability to attend training each semester
  • Ability to stand for at least 4 hours
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to handle knives and other sharp equipment.  
  • Ability to bend, squat, reach on an occasional basis.
